Speculations are rife that J.J. Abrams-helmed upcoming film 'Star Wars VII' still has a major spot open for a female actor.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the casting process isn't over even though it was recently announced that Peter Mayhew will reprise his role as Chewbacca and the original Luke, Leia, and Han Solo trio, played by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford respectively, will return along with Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker as C-3PO and R2-D2.

Since the cast is a bit male-heavy, rumors are circulating that to balance the gender equation the makers will put in a female role.
