A new study has revealed that children start worshipping reality TV stars and pop-singers from the age nine rather than idiolising people in professions like police or fire departments.

The research conducted by Yeo Valley's children's range Little Yeos, explained that celebrity culture takes hold on school going kids and they make TV reality stars, sportsmen or singers their role models rather than aiming for being a policeman, farmer or vet, the Mirror has reported.

The research showed that seven in 10 parents felt that their child's exposure to media and celebrity from early age influences their children and the sort of life they wish to pursue.

Yeo Valley said that as per their study, parents generally see a point in their child's life when every day the heroes they used to value, gets challenged by celebrities, but it's important to educate children on the significance of traditional professions like farming and other work that is crucial in helping the country as a whole.

Valley added that it's important to teach children about dreaming big and achieving everything they want in life, but the results showed how difficult it can be in the modern world to ensure those aspirations don't become too superficial.
