Kim Jong-un: North Korea ready to counter any U.S. threat

North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un stated that his country is prepared to act on any threat posed by the United States.

Addressing the nation during the 70th anniversary celebration of the country's ruling party, Kim said that his revolutionary forces are ready to respond to any kind of attack by US.

According to The Washington Times, Kim praised his government and said that it has successfully improved their citizen's lives in face of external threats since the end of the Korean War.

The country's biggest celebration was also attended by Liu Yunshan, member of the Chinese Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
