The Madhes-based parties in Nepal are believed to lend their support to Nepali Congress candidate Sushil Koirala in the prime minister election if the parties decided to attend the House meeting.
According to The Himalayan Times, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) parties are holding a meeting to discuss whether or not to go to the House and take part in the prime ministerial election.
The top leaders of the UDFM parties have come back to Kathmandu to apparently take part in the election.
The Madhesi parties that walked out of the Constituent Assembly before the promulgation of new Constitution have been launching an agitation.
Meanwhile, lawmakers of three other parties Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican and National Madhes Socialist Party, which form Federal Democratic Alliance, are certain to take part in the voting.
