Divock Origi scored a hat-trick and Daniel Sturridge marked his return from injuries with two stunning goals after Sadio Mane had put Southampton ahead in the first minute.
Reflecting on his team's performance, Klopp said that he was delighted with the result but added that he had problems with the first minute and the following 10 minutes, the Daily Express reported.
The German also said that it was a good decision to play Sturridge.
With the win, Liverpool continued their resurgence under Klopp as they have suffered only one defeat in their last 11 games. The Anfield club will next take on Stokes in the semis.
