The 23-year-old singer's father presented him with a banana before his appearance at the 88th Academy Awards today, reports News.com.au.
Smith's banana gift also had a special message that read, "Hope you get lucky at your after-show party."
The British singer is nominated for Best Original Song award for 'Writing's On The Wall,' his theme music for the last James Bond movie, 'Spectre.
