The Kolkata Police on Wednesday arrested two people in connection with defacing the newly set up bust of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose with ink.
Both the arrested accused have been sent to two-days police custody.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bose's bust at a village in Khairasole area of Birbhum was defaced with ink, hours before it was planned to be inaugurated.
The case was filed on the same and the Police said they are looking for the miscreants who were involved in it.
The bust was set up by the local administration at a cost of Rs 1. 25 lakh and had planned to inaugurate as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
