Krishna Chaudhary appointed new ITBP chief

Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Krishna Chaudhary will take over as the new Director General (DG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Chaudhary, who is currently the Director General of the Railway Protection Force, is a 1979-batch Bihar cadre officer. He has been appointed for two years.

He succeeds Subhas Goswami who retired on December 31, 2014.

Between January 1 and January 30, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Prakash Mishra was holding additional charge as ITBP chief.
