Union Minister for Road Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari on Monday reasserted Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government's stand over Vasundhara Raje's involvement in former IPL chief Lalit Modi row saying that all the allegations against the Rajasthan Chief Minister were 'baseless'.

"All the allegations against Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje are baseless. I have assured her that the government and the BJP stand strong with her. We were with her today and we will be with her tomorrow," said Gadkari.

Gadkari had met Raje today morning. He is likely to convey to Raje to lie low and not interact much with the media with regard to her helping Lalit Modi to reach Portugal to deal with his wife's medical emergency.

In more trouble for the BJP, which has been defending External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, despite opposition demands that she be sacked for helping Lalit Modi, the former IPL boss has claimed that Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje secretly supported his immigration plea in Britain.
