After a gap of ten long years, Sri Lanka will tour West Indies for a Test series in June.
The three-match Test series has been planned under the Future Tours Programme, reports ESPNcricinfo.
The last time the two sides encountered each other in a Test match was in 2008, which ended on a 1-1 draw.
However, it was a historical series for the visitors as they won in the West Indies for the first time.
Besides, Sri Lanka had also visited the West Indies for the World T20 in 2010 and a tri-series featuring the two sides and India in 2013.
The three-match series beginning from June 6 also holds importance for another reason.
The second match of the scheduled Test will be played at Kensington Oval in Barbados, which will be Sri Lanka's Test debut at the iconic ground.
The first Test will be played at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad, while the final match will be held at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia from June 23.
