Lena Dunham has revealed that she went through serious anxiety issues and obsessive compulsive disorder as a child.
The 28-year-old 'Girls' creator, who's upcoming book Not That Kind of Girl reveals a collection of personal essays, told People magazine that there was still trail of fear left in her brain.
Though she loved her life, it wasn't good when worn anxiety grooved in her head, she added.
Dunham, who dedicated a chapter in her book to the food journal she kept to lose weight, also said that, despite her stripping down for the camera with ease, the discontentment with her body too sneaked in at times.
She admitted that her restricted diet had made her end up "in the hospital with crazy stomach pains" as all was having was laxative tea, coffee, smoking cigarettes with bizarre foods at odd hours.
Dunham credited her guitarist boyfriend Jack Antonoff for helping her change and making her realize that "food was fuel," and said she felt good with her size at present.
