A federal judge has ruled on June 16 that Leonardo DiCaprio must testify in a 25 million dollar defamation lawsuit filed over his 2013 blockbuster 'Wolf of Wall Street.'

The 41-year-old actor, who played the character of a corrupt businessman Jordan Belfort in the movie will be questioned by lawyers for Andrew Greene, a former colleague of Belfort's, reports News.com.au.

Greene sued Paramount Pictures and others in 2014, claiming that his identity as Nicky "Rugrat" Koskoff in the movie is "readily apparent" and that his character, played by actor PJ Byrne, was repeatedly mocked for his "piece of s**t hairpiece."

According to a court filing, earlier this week, Greene's lawyers pointed out that they had tried to depose "Hollywood's most famous bachelor" but couldn't because he was "too busy."

They further said that since 'The Revenant' star had also co-produced the movie besides acting he was a "driving force" behind getting the flick made and is "knowledgeable regarding significant issues in this case."

The Judge, while granting a motion to compel DiCaprio's deposition, said that it would take place "at a reasonable time and place agreed to by the parties.
