Chinese star Li Na has advanced to the semi-finals of the Australian Open tournament on Tuesday following her quarter-final victory at the Rod Laver Arena.
The fourth seeded Li beat Italian Flavia Pennetta 6-2, 6-2, despite a valiant effort by Pennetta to stop Li's assault.
Meanwhile, Li had admitted that it was sometimes tough for her dealing with the pressure of being a role model.
As Asia's first major tennis star, Li, who has earned a reputation as a maverick and a prickly character in China, now has more than 10 million fans on Chinese social media and featured on the cover of Time magazine's 2013 list of the world's most influential people.
