Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, has filed for a not guilty plea on speeding and drink-driving charges, stemming from her September 12 arrest.
After the 51-year-old mum-of-four surrendered her driver's licence, owing to Judge Joy Watson's orders, she left the New York courthouse in a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce, the Mirror reported.
Her lawyer, Mark Heller, asserted that Dina is painfully mindful of the gravity of her arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Heller added that he is confident that the district attorney's office and the judicial system will temper justice with mercy.
The TV personality, who is due back in court on October 23, was stopped for speeding on a Long Island parkway.
Later, a sobriety test revealed that Dina's blood-alcohol level was 0.20, more than double the legal limit of 0.08.
