Lily Allen slams 'double standards' shown for men, women

Lily Allen has revealed that she is annoyed by the "double standards" shown in covering a story about the Coldplay singer Chris Martin giving her a lift home from a party.

The 29-year-old singer, who was recently spotted leaving Kate Hudson's party with Martin, said in an interview that the way that they had sort of insinuated it was that "she's a mother of two, abandoning her children," Mirror reported.

The 'Air Balloon' singer added that she was in a car with a father of two and at no point had anyone alluded to him abandoning his children.

Allen added that it's completely false because her children are with her most of the time and if there are photographers around, she makes sure that she goes in a different car because she doesn't want them to have guys with what look like guns pointing at them the whole time and chasing them.

She continued that one of her children is about to be three and one will be two in January, so they don't know what it is, they don't know what a newspaper is.
