Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called an All Party Meeting in New Delhi today to discuss the ways for smooth functioning of Parliament.
During the meeting, Mahajan will seek cooperation from floor leaders of different parties to ensure smooth transaction of business in the House.
The session will commence tomorrow and it will continue till May 13.
During the session, the government hopes to garner the support of opposition parties in passage of key legislations including the Goods and Services Tax Bill.
Besides, Bill to replace Enemy Property Ordinance, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and Companies Amendment Bill will also be taken up.
Meanwhile, the government has said it is ready to discuss all issues in Parliament.
Earlier, the Congress had given notices for suspension of Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha to discuss Uttarakhand crisis when the Parliament session.
