Lucy Hale confessed that she was "uncomfortable" auditioning for 'Fifty Shades of Grey', which is based on the erotic novel by E.L James of the same name.
The 25-year-old actress told MTV News that she had to act out a two-page monologue which highlighted the SandM relationship between the college co-ed Anastasia Steele and businessman Christian Grey, Us Magazine reported.
The 'Pretty Little Liars' star added that she wanted to play Anastasia as the character was risky and out of her "comfort zone".
Unfortunately, Hale was not able to land the role in the film, which now stars Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith's daughter Dakota Johnson as Steele.
