French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday said that the world is facing issues like terrorism and climate change because of some greedy leaders.

While interacting with the students at Delhi's Bikaner House, the French President said, "Most of the issues we have today, on climate and terrorism are because of the short-term vision of most of the leaders. They were greedy."

He further said the world is in the middle of a digital revolution and climate change and it needs to respond to them quickly.

"We are in the middle of revolution on digital era and climate change. We need more speediness. What we need is the change in mindset, facilitate entrepreneurship, increase risk takers' numbers," President Macron said.

"Artificial Intelligence is big game changer but you need to start it from the ground," he added.

The French President emphasised on the need of boosting people to people exchange between Indian and France.

"I think we need more exchange between our people and students. I want most of the researchers to come to France and I am happy to be here today," he said.

President Macron arrived in India on Thursday for a four-day visit.

The last visit of President Macron to India was in January 2016, when he was the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations.

Prime Minister Modi had visited France in June last year.
