Thousands of Manipuri devotees celebrated 'Maha Raas' - a festival celebrating the love life of Lord Krishna in Agartala.

The festival is celebrated every year on the full moon day known as 'Kartik Poornima' as per the Hindu month.

The young girls in traditional attire enacted the role of 'Gopies' and danced around the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha.

'Raas' is a symbol of love and communal harmony where the people of all communities gather to celebrate forgetting all differences.
