A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Nala Sopara area of Palghar.
The police revealed that the incident took place at the apartment of the accused, Haridas Nigore, on Sunday. When the 20-year-old victim did not oblige to his sexual interest, they had a fight.
The argument took an ugly turn when he strangled the girl to death and left her body on the stairs of his apartment.
A case was lodged under section 302 of Indian Panel Code.
An investigation is underway in the case.
