Veteran actor Malcolm McDowell has been roped in to play News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch in Annapurna Pictures' upcoming Roger Ailes film.
According to Variety, McDowell joins a cast of A-list talent that includes Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, who will play Megyn Kelly, Gretchen Carlson and an associate producer, respectively.
The drama is based on the disgraced former Fox News chief (to be played by John Lithgow) and is about the women of the media company, who took a stand against the network's toxic male culture and its late chairman, Roger Ailes.
The yet-untitled film, which was written by 'The Big Short' scribe Charles Randolph, will be directed by Jay Roach.
