Launching a frontal attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC chief) Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the Centre was hatching conspiracies to derail the good work done by her government in the state.

"I would request all of you that one must work with total dedication for the people, only then they will shower their love on you; otherwise they won't shower affection on you. There are many conspiracies hatched to derail our work. Let them hatch conspiracies; I will answer them back with my work," Banerjee said here.

"I would request the people of Bongaon, Gaighata, Pabda, Habra, Ashoknagar and sub-division of these areas to keep a tab on those outsiders who are coming with arms, who could be Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs or Christians, they do not have any religion. There are some riot-masters who speak a lot and try to divide the people. If you see this then you must lodge a complaint to the local police station and if they do not take any steps then you send one copy to my office. There are conspiracies hatched to disturb communal atmosphere. People are jealous that peace has returned in Bengal, development has returned, women, farmers, students and sisters are happy and hence many are jealous," she added.

Taking potshots at the Centre for not giving any moratorium on the state's debt repayment, she said, "Those who are taking our money they are hatching conspiracies. Whatever income Bengal generates, the Centre is taking everything. They (Centre) have deducted more than one lakh crores from Bengal," she added.

The TMC supremo used the occasion to highlight the development works initiated by her government.

"We have said that we will create Krishak Bazaar, we have created sixty. We are creating 500 marketing complexes, which will generate lakhs of jobs most of them have started and will start. In every subdivision, we are creating polytechnic college. In every block, we are creating ITIs. In 35 years only a single university was created, in our time nine have been created, two are in the pipeline," Banerjee said.

"We have increased 12,000 beds in hospitals. We have done away with paying for beds in (hospitals) in the villages, now everything is free of cost for your medical treatment. Neither do you have to pay for the beds, nor for the medicines.......We are giving medicines with concessions ranging from 72 percent to 48 percent. We have opened 84 fair price medicine shops," she added.

Banerjee further said, "In Bengal, 34 multi-super hospitals are being constructed despite the Centre snatching our money. We are creating two multi-super hospitals, one in Bongaon and Basirhat. You won't have to run to Kolkata, you can get you health facility right at your doorstep."

The West Bengal Chief Minister's criticism came a day after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley lashed out at her over reaction to the Saradha chit-fund scam and the Burdwan blast case.
