Manchester City star Yaya Toure has boosted his side's chances in the Premier League title race with his sole contribution in their gritty 1-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini's team looked to be frustrated in much of the game having managed just one point from their previous two league matches.
However, Sport24 reports that with 20 minutes left, Toure touched in from a couple of yards to keep City, who lost substitute Stevan Jovetic to injury, three points behind leaders Chelsea with a game in hand.
The defeat stretched Stoke's run of away league matches without a win to 12, the report added.
