Man City makes strong PL statement with 4-0 Newcastle win in opener

Premier League club Manchester City got off to a wonderful start at home in their season campaign by achieving a 4-0 victory over Newcastle United.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Steven Taylor was sent off during the match causing problems for the away side.

The report said that City were already leading 2-0 through David Silva and Sergio Aguero and doubled the lead through Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri in the second half.

Manchester City joins Manchester United and Chelsea in the major clubs who have all won so far in their opening matches.
