Man U planning to go ahead with transfers during long wait to appoint new manager

Manchester United is reportedly planning to go ahead with their transfer business during the potentially long process of waiting for a new manager to take the reins of the clubs in his hands.

United is exploring the possibility if Paris Saint-German would sell their striker Edinson Cavani and have also been tempted to look again if Barcelona might be selling Cesc Fabregas.

United's chief executive Ed Woodward has reportedly been made aware that Cavani might be available sale and he is looking forward to the possibility of bagging the PSG striker to move to Old Trafford, the Daily Star reported.

The club is reportedly looking to also bag Fabregas despite the deal to sign the star last summer ending out in an unsatisfactory way.

United is speculating to go ahead with the transfers as it would be a while before they sign a new manager for the club, at least three months, because the Dutch boss, who is speculated to be the likely candidate to fill in Moyes' shoes, will be available after the World Cup this summer.

United is reportedly speculated to be interested in several high-caliber players such as Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan at Borussia Dortmund, Toni Kroos at Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho.

United sacked their coach David Moyes, just 10 months after he took over former manager Sir Alex Ferguson's post, on Tuesday following the Scots failed season at the club and are now looking for a replacement for the club's coach, the report added.
