Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee is 'overwhelmed' with his first international film 'In the Shadows' getting appreciation from Bollywood as well audiences across the globe.
The movie has been soaring high at all the national and international festivals as the film is getting massive response from the audience.
Expressing his delight, the 48-year-old actor said, "It is a very overwhelming feeling when our industry and audiences around the globe are loving our work."
"The film is extremely special to all of us and we have worked extremely hard for it. It feels great that these kind of festivals gives films like our film 'In the Shadows' as it gives much needed encouragement. We had an amazing response in the MAMI and Busan and are looking forward to the same in the upcoming festivals where the film is going to be screened," he added.
The thriller film is a psychological drama about a man who is trapped within the city walls and in his own mind and attempts to break free to find a human connection.
Directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Dipesh Jain, the film has been as competing in some of the significant worldwide film festivals and much recently had two simultaneous first screenings at the Busan Film Festival and Jio MAMI 2017.
The 'Naam Shabana' star and film's director, who were a part of the Busan Film Festival screening, were amazed with the extremely positive response from the international crowd.
It is known that the screening went housefull and the entire crowd was emotional after the film was over.
Incidentally, the reaction at MAMI film festival was also similar.
The screening was also attended by a list of talented celebrities like Kay Kay Menon, Rahul Bose, Sudhir Mishra, Newton Director Amit Masurkar, Makrand Despande and many more who were in seen appreciating the team with positive feedback post the film was over.
Interestingly, 'In The Shadows' is going to be screened in many more reputed Film Festival like Chicago Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival (Middle East Premiere- Official announcement soon), International Film Festival of Kerala and in-competition for Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
The film also stars Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami.
