A notorious Maoist and regional committee member Dimba Pahan surrendered before Khunti police officials and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) security forces in Jharkhand yesterday.
Pahan, who was carrying a reward of Rs. 15 lakh on his head, surrendered before Superintendent of Police, Ashwaini Kumar Sinha, in the presence of Deputy Inspector General of Police, R.K. Dhan, Commandant Raj Kumar and other police officers.
A cheque of Rs 15 lakh was also handed over to Pahan under the state government's surrender policy for rehabilitation.
