Two personnel of paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when Maoists triggered a landmine blast in Malkangiri district of Odisha on Friday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Bagh, said explosive went off when the BSF personnel were conducting a search after removing Maoist posters in the mountainous area.
"A blast took place when BSF personnel, who were patrolling, tried to remove a Maoist poster near Telarai Mountain. Two personnel were injured and they have been shifted to Malkangiri hospital," Bagh said.
The injured were airlifted to Malkangiri district hospital. The BSF has launched a combing operation to nab the ultras.
