According to sources, in what capacity the 47-year-old actor will appear is unknown. They said that the marvel film will involve a "distant planet" that is "not Asgard and not earth", the Independent reports.

In addition to this, actor Tom Hiddleston and actress Jaimie Alexander will return to the series alongside Ruffalo.
The upcoming thriller will reportedly be helmed by Taiki Waititi and is slated to hit the UK theaters on 27 October 2017.
