Holders Manchester United has maintained their recent run of success both home and away with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League at St James' Park on Saturday.
While Newcastle struggled to improve on a run which now reads 10 defeats from their last 15 games, an effective United looked ultra-confident just days after drawing 1-1 with Champions League-holders Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
According to Sport24, Spaniard Juan Mata scored twice, his beginning free-kick putting United ahead six minutes before half-time while his second goal showed his class and composure five minutes into the second half.
Mexican striker Javier Hernandez added a third goal with 25 minutes remaining before Mata finished a memorable afternoon to gift teenaged Adnan Januzaj a stoppage-time fourth, the report added.
