World number three golfer Rory McIlroy gave a perfect start to his Masters preparation by making a hole-in-one on the opening day of practice session at Augusta National.
The 26-year-old Northern Irishman delighted the crowd when he aced the 16th hole with a seven-iron from 170 yards.
The four-time major champion said that he was surprised by the crowd reception considering it was a practice round and that he felt his game was in good shape, the Guardian reported.
McIlroy will become the sixth player to complete the career grand slam if he claims a first green jacket this week.
