Meg Ryan and 'Mad Men's actress Kiernan Shipka have landed a role in high school comedy titled 'Fan Girl', it has been revealed.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is the directorial debut of Paul Jarrett, and it revolves around a post-millennial 15-year-old played by Shipka whose two obsessions are making movies and the real-life alternative rock band All Time Low and she gets a chance to see the band live and film the concert for a class project.
The movie stars 'Moonrise Kingdom's actress Kara Hayward, '30 Rock's Scott Adsit and rock band All Time Low.
Gina O'Brien has penned the screenplay based on her experiences with her own daughter.
Jarrett and Nick Huston will produce the project through their Rosetta Films alongside Literally Films and Adam Spielberg through his Filament Productions.
