'Ghostbusters' is coming back, but this time with an all female cast.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, would be starring in Sony's Paul Feig-directed reboot, and while McCarthy has already signed on for the role, Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are still in negotiations.
The film is hoping to begin filming in summer in New York, and has been scheduled for a July 2016 release, as revealed by Feig on Twitter.
The film has been in development for long time, as earlier original director Ivan Reitman was on board to return, but bowed out when Harold Ramis passed away last year.
After that, Feig was approached to direct and reconceived the project as a reboot starring an all-female cast.
