Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Johnson has said that he is determined enough to take on opponents during high-pressure World Cup knock-out stages despite being hammered in the Pool games.

Johnson was thrashed by New Zealand's Brendon McCullum and Corey Anderson during Australia's one-wicket loss to the Black Caps, and was carted for six consecutive boundaries in one over by Sri Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan in Sydney.

Unaffected by those expensive figures, Johnson said that he was not stressed about it, adding that being hit was something he had expected throughout the tournament with the way the game was, News.com.au reported.

The left-arm fast bowler further said that it would be interesting to see when there's a bit more pressure on how guys play the game going into the quarterfinal, insisting that he was ready for whatever is going to come at him.

Australia will play Pakistan in the World Cup quarterfinal clash on Friday in Adelaide.
