Meryl Streep will be starring in upcoming comedic drama 'Ricki and the Flash' which will be helmed by 'The Silence of the Lambs' director Jonathan Demme.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 64-year old Oscar-winner will play a mother who works in a grocery by day and plays guitar by night.
The story revolves around a rock and roll-loving woman who goes after her dream, putting her family at stake, but gets a last chance to make things right.
TriStar is in final negotiations to acquire the film which will be produced by Marc Platt and Mason Novick.
