Barcelona star striker Lionel Messi has played down the seriousness of a hamstring injury he suffered during Argentina's 1-0 win over Uruguay in their World Cup qualification match, saying everything is fine.
Although Messi was earlier doubtful for the Uruguay clash, he played the entire 90 minutes and scored the decisive goal for Argentina before being forced to return from international duty due to a fitness problem,goal.com reported.
Posting a picture of him on his Facebook page, the Argentina star said, "Everything is fine, I have to slow things down as I recover with physio, but it's nothing to worry about. Thanks to you all for your support."
Messi now looks doubtful for Barcelona's clash against Alaves in Camp Nou on September 3.
