Nigerian man Nwabu Chukwuma, who was charged for murdering his friend after an argument over whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo was the best footballer, has been sent to a four-day police custody by the Vasai Court on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with murder after he killed his friend Obinna Michael Durumchukwa on his 34th birthday following the debate about the Barcelona and Real Madrid stars spiralled out of control.
Police inspector Kiran Kabadi revealed that Durumchukwa hurled a glass at Chukwuma which missed and hit the wall. Chukwuma then picked up a shard of the glass and slit his friend's throat in rage.
