Michael Caine recalled in his new autobiography 'From The Elephant to Hollywood', that he wasn't the one who rode a horse in film 'Zulu' and it was a prop man called Ginger who made his first appearance in his first major motion picture for him.

According to the Mirror, the 81-year-old British legend was first approached by Stanley Baker to play the part of a Cockney corporal, but was rejected by director Cy Endfield, after which the role was given to James Booth.

But despite his screen test going horrible, Caine was selected for the part of a snobbish lieutenant Gonville Bromhead.

The 1964 historical war film marked completed its 50th anniversary recently.
