'Destiny's Child' singer Michelle Williams opened up about her struggle with mental health in her latest Twitter post.
The 'The Color Purple' actress said that she has sought help from a team of healthcare professionals for her mental health issues.
The 37-year-old singer was supported by celebrities and fans alike.
American sports personality, comedian, and television host on ESPN, Katie Nolan also supported Michelle Williams and commented on her post saying, "You've gone through a very specific struggle most people will not ever know. Try not to compare your pain to the pain of others that you deem more "real;" what you've been through & continue to fight is real & yours, and it's a miracle you have the presence of mind to seek help."
American rapper Missy Elliot also stood by Williams' side and took to her Twitter handle to write, "I want to lift our sis up in prayer because there are so many people battling this & many trying to deal with it alone??Please No jokes this is REAL & as human beings let's keep the ones who are openly dealing with it uplifted & be encouraging to them! Love u @RealMichelleW"
LaTavia Marie Roberson, one of the original memebers of 'Destiny's Child' also came forward to support Michelle Williams.
She tweeted, "@RealMichelleW today you showed the world why your a class act! Depression is real especially in our community. This is why I believe in live out loud and in color. Keep shining Love ya sis ?????? your not in this alone!!!!!"
