Android, iPad and iPhone users can use Microsoft's Office suite on their operating system free of cost.

The software giant is overhauling its mobile Office strategy to keep consumers hooked to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. The benefit was rolled out yesterday and would enable users to edit documents or store them in the cloud without an Office 365 subscription, reported The Verge.

The move came just days after Microsoft announced its strategic partnership with Dropbox to integrate the cloud storage service into Office across desktop, mobile, and the web.
