Microsoft has announced its new tablet, Surface 3, which is a thinner, smaller, lighter and less-powerful version of the Surface Pro 3.
The Surface 3 is cheaper, starting at USD 499. It has a 10.8 inch screen and claims a 10 hours of video playback on a single charge and runs a full build of Windows that comes with a year subscription to Office 365.
Surface 3 comes in two variants, at USD 499 with 64GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM, but no accessories and at USD 599 with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. The Surface 3-designed Type Cover will still cost us a USD 129.
Surface 3 will be retailing globally on May 5 and its pre-orders will begin on April 2.
