Melissa McCarthy nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard that her TV sitcom 'Mike & Molly' will end after its upcoming sixth season.

Expressing her feelings, the 45-year-old actress tweeted, "I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly. I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I'll miss my 2nd family", News.com.au reports.

The 'Spy' actress, who had starred in American sitcom since 2010, was in Oscar nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a supporting role for 'Bridesmaids' in 2011.

The sitcom has been reduced to just 13 episodes and will get axed after its sixth season.
