Security forces have gunned down a top militant in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore District, which is about 55 kilometers from Srinagar.
The encounter is said to have taken place late last night in the Seeloo area of Sopore.
Sources have identified the militant as Shafi Sheikh, a resident of Zaloora in Sopore District.
