A six-year-old girl, who had gone missing since February 14, was found raped and murdered in an agriculture field on Thursday in Rajasthan's Jhalawar city.
The deceased belongs to Bhil community from Chota Raipur village under Jhalawar city police station area.
Police said, "The minor has been murdered after being raped. A case has been registered today under relevant sections, including Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) POCSO and investigation are underway."
"The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem by a medical board," the police added.
