Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has warned his teammates of a 'do-or-die' situation that is looming ahead of their crucial World Cup clash against Zimbabwe at the Gabba in Brisbane on March 1.
Pakistan suffered a humiliating 150-run defeat against the West Indies on Saturday in Christchurch after scripting a record for the worst start to a one-day international innings as Misbah's men were reeling at 1-4 in the fourth over.
Warning teammates ahead of the Zimbabwe clash, Misbah said that it is a do or die situation for them and there are no ifs and buts, the Dawn reported.
Reflecting on the team's performance, the skipper said that they just lost in all three departments, adding that they couldn't bowl well, a lot of dropped catches, and the batting totally flopped.
Pakistan are languishing at the bottom of Pool B after incurring back-to-back debacles against defending champions India and the West Indies.
Misbah added that as a team, they need to pick themselves up and need to perform.
