Indian Army Captain Shikhar Deep who had gone missing from a train while travelling to Delhi from Katihar in Bihar on February 6, resurfaced in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh today.
According to the police, Deep came to the Kotwali Police station early morning where he reportedly claimed to have been abducted.
The Army Captain is posted in Jammu and Kashmir and his relatives had earlier alleged that anti-national elements were behind his abduction.
Following his disappearance, the Indian Army had raised an alarm about him seeking information from the public about his whereabouts.
Captain Deep's luggage was found in the coach he was travelling in, but the officer was nowhere to be found and his mobile was also switched off.
He had last spoken to his family on the morning of February 6.
