Modi meets Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) leader Pushpa Dahal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on two-day maiden bilateral visit to Nepal, has met Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the chairman of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).

Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to undertake a bilateral visit to Nepal in 17 years and is scheduled to hold parleys with leaders of different political parties in Nepal before leaving for India.

He is also scheduled to meet Madhesi leaders of Nepal.
