Moloy Ghatak resigns as W.Bengal agriculture minister

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accepted the resignation of state agriculture minister Maloy Ghatak and the same has been forwarded to Governor M.K Narayanan for acceptance.

According to reports, Ghatak was asked to resign after the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Dola Sen lost from Asansol Lok Sabha elections at the hands of BJP's Babul Supriyo.

Moloy Ghatak represents Asansol seat in the state assembly.
