Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has slammed the media for the reaction to his comments regarding striker Samuel Eto'o's age after the Portuguese was caught questioning how old the Eto'o is as well as the quality in attack he has to choose from.
Mourinho was caught on camera dismissing the quality of his strikers and saying that winning the Premiere League was not possible for them, but he has defended his comments and instead launched an attack on the journalist who recorded his words without the Portuguese's knowledge.
According to The Independent, Mourinho said that the media should be embarrassed as ethically, they cannot record a private conversation and make it public, adding that the concerned journalist showed what he is and what he does not know about his job.
Defending his comments, Mourinho said that it was a 'funny conversation' between him and a friend, and insisted that he has had the best season of his career with Eto's, a four-time Champions League winner.
'The Special One' may have been flustered in his attack, given that Eto'o has only won the European Cup three times - twice with Barcelona in 2005-06 and 2008-09 and once with Inter Milan under Mourinho in 2009-10, the report mentioned.
