The 74-year-old former Uttar Pradesh chief minister has been re-elected as the Samajwadi Party supremo for the next three years.
The party's national executive meeting was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, party's national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, state cabinet minister Azam Khan and Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav.
